what is coaching?
Compared to therapy or counselling, coaching spends less time in the past but instead seeks to help you understand your present as well as looking towards the future.
Coaching begins from the belief that all people are creative, resourceful and whole, the answers are within you and by coming to them yourself you will be empowered to enact genuine change in your life. No one knows you better than yourself, after all. You know what works for you and what doesn’t.
Most importantly it’s a space where you can feel free to explore ideas and thoughts and get inspired and excited about your life. I believe strongly in the incredible value of creating a space for my clients to talk freely and openly, without fear of judgment or interruption. You can talk and know that you are being heard.
Through this creation of a nurturing and safe space, I can support your exploration, as well as facilitating that rare gift of headspace for reflective thought and moments of calm reconnection to self. I will ask questions that help you dig deeper and at times I will also challenge you, for example if I notice beliefs about yourself that are holding you back, or areas where you aren’t allowing yourself to take credit. We work towards an outcome of your choosing, be it a tangible goal or something less tangible, such as reconnecting to your purpose. However, I believe in allowing for a free-flowing space and the outcome may evolve and change as we go along.
My aim is to bring joy and authenticity into your life through the coaching journey. I want to help you see the positives in your life, instead of the blocks. I want to help you see your own potential and ability, so that you can truly make the most of your life.
